Support — Copy Paste

Something broken, confusing, or missing? Write to hola@teostudio.mx and a person will answer, usually within two business days.

If you are reporting a problem, it helps to say which iPhone model and which version of iOS you are on, and what you were doing when it happened.

How do I install the keyboard?

Copy Paste comes with a custom keyboard, but iOS requires you to turn it on yourself. It takes three steps:

  • Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard, and choose Copy Paste.
  • Tap Copy Paste in that list and switch on Allow Full Access. Without it the keyboard cannot read your saved texts, so it has nothing to show you.
  • In any app, hold the globe key on your keyboard and pick Copy Paste. Tap a saved text and it is inserted where you were typing.

The app also has a setup guide that walks you through the same three steps with a shortcut straight into Settings.

Why does the keyboard need Full Access?

For one reason only: to read the texts you saved in the app. The app and the keyboard store their data in the same private container on your device, and iOS only lets a keyboard reach that container if you grant Full Access.

The keyboard does not log, store or transmit anything you type, in Copy Paste or in any other app. There is nowhere for that data to go — there are no servers, no analytics and no third-party SDKs. The Privacy Policy spells this out in full.

You can turn Full Access off whenever you like, in the same Settings screen where you turned it on.

Why does iOS ask about pasting from other apps?

When Copy Paste offers to save something you just copied, iOS may ask for permission each time. Setting Paste from Other Apps to Allow, in Settings → Copy Paste, stops the repeated prompts. Copy Paste still reads your clipboard only at the moment you tap the save button on the suggestion — never in the background.

How do I cancel the subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us, so you cancel from your device rather than from inside the app:

  • Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Tap Copy Paste, then Cancel Subscription.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid being charged for the next one. If you cancel during the 7-day free trial before that point, you are not charged at all. You keep access until the period you already paid for runs out.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

What happens to my texts if I delete the app?

They are deleted with it. Your texts and lists are stored only on your device, so there is no copy anywhere else — no account, no server, no cloud backup. We cannot recover them for you, because we never had them.

If you are about to delete the app and want to keep something, copy it somewhere else first.

Does the app work without an internet connection?

Yes. Everything Copy Paste does happens on your device, so saving and pasting texts works with no connection at all. The only thing that needs the internet is Apple’s own handling of your subscription.

Still stuck?

Write to hola@teostudio.mx. Feature requests are welcome too — the app is small on purpose, but that does not mean it is finished.
