Privacy Policy — Copy Paste
Last updated: August 27th, 2026
The short version: Copy Paste collects nothing. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no third-party SDKs. The texts you save stay on your device, and the keyboard never records what you type.
This policy covers both halves of the app: the Copy Paste app itself and its custom keyboard.
Why the keyboard asks for Full Access
It reads your saved texts. That is all it does. The Copy Paste keyboard and the Copy Paste app store their data in the same private container on your device, and iOS only lets a keyboard reach that container if you grant Full Access. Without the permission the keyboard has no way to see the texts you saved, so it would have nothing to show you.
The keyboard does not record what you type. It does not log, store, analyse or transmit your keystrokes — not in Copy Paste, and not in any other app where you use the keyboard. There is nowhere for that data to go: the app has no servers, no network requests and no analytics.
You can turn Full Access off at any time in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards. The keyboard will simply stop being able to show your saved texts.
What the app stores, and where
The texts and lists you create are stored only on your device, inside a shared iOS container (an App Group) that belongs to Copy Paste and its keyboard. They never leave your phone.
There is no Copy Paste server, no remote database and no cloud backup of your texts. We have no way to read, recover or restore them, and neither does anyone else. If you delete the app, the texts are deleted with it.
Your clipboard
Copy Paste can offer to save something you have just copied. It reads your clipboard only at the moment you explicitly tap the save button on that on-screen suggestion. It does not read your clipboard in the background, on a timer, or while you are not looking.
What we collect
Nothing. Copy Paste has no servers to send data to. We do not collect personal information, usage statistics, crash reports, advertising identifiers or device identifiers. We do not use analytics or advertising services, and the app contains no third-party SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites. There is nothing to sell, and we sell nothing.
No accounts
Copy Paste has no sign-up, no login and no user accounts. We never ask for your name, your email address or a password, because there is no account for them to belong to.
Subscriptions
Copy Paste is sold as an auto-renewing subscription processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Your payment details, name and Apple Account are handled by Apple and are never shared with us. From Apple we receive only aggregated, anonymous sales reports that cannot identify any individual. Apple’s handling of your data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Children
Copy Paste is not directed to children under 13, and collects no data from anyone regardless of age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Since the app collects no data, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
